A visit to the Van Gogh Museum is a unique experience. There is no place in the world where so many works by Vincent van Gogh (1853-1890) are on show together. The collection includes over 200 paintings, 500 drawings and more than 750 letters, provided on permanent loan by the Vincent Van Gogh Foundation. As such it allows viewers to trace the artist's development and to compare his work with that of other 19th-century artists ion the collection.

The museum also stages a wide range of temporary exhibitions on various aspects of 19th-century art history in the exhibition wing.

Friday night the Van Gogh Museum is open until 10 p.m. and transforms into a relaxed place to meet: Lounge chairs, performances and live music.

Opening hours are: Saturday till Thursday 10 am till 6 pm and on Friday from 10 am till 10 pm.

Entrance for children up to 18 years is free when they´re accompanied by a paying adult.

There is a beautiful museum café, activities for children like a free treasure hunt and during the weekend special kid's workshops. Friday night the museum lounge is open until 10 pm. The Museum is completely accessible for wheelchair users, wheelchairs are available.
